Plenty of racing on Saturday with six flat cards York and Sandown are the two main meetings ,though both cards look very difficult with some ultra competitive big field handicaps .Going concentrate on a race that doesn't look too competitive the 7 furlong claiming stakes at Chester
7F CLAIMING STAKES CLASS 4 CHESTER 4.30
KINGSWINFORD : Consistent 5-Y-0 who has decent record in claimers winning 2 from 4 ( 3121) Been in fair form for David Evans this season finishing placed three times ,including finishing third over 6 furlongs off mark 74 in handicap at Chester in May .Finished second last time in decent looking seller at Leicester over 6 Furlongs behind Cootehill Lass, was subsequently claimed by Brian Ellison for £7000.
VERDICT : At the weights this looks to concern four horses GetCarter ,Bilko Pak ,Kingswinford & Dream Catcher .
The Richard Hannon trained GetCarter should go well from stall one after finishing good second last time behind Call Collect at Salisbury off mark 70 ,though the not most consistent of horses and hasn't won for over 14 months.
Dream Catcher won 6f class 4 handicap at Thirsk in May off mark 75 and looks well treated at these weights ,though all his best form is over 5 & 6 furlongs and there has to be doubts about him staying 7 furlongs.
Bilko Pak had some decent form for Richard Hannon last season winning 4 times ,though has since changed stables twice, showing next to nothing for James Given in two races. Changed hands cheaply for £1600 at Doncaster sales in April and now runs first time for Anne Duffield .
KINGSWINFORD looks interesting having his first run for Brian Ellision after changing hands for £7000 .Been running consistently this season and has good record in claiming races. The return to 7 furlongs will also suit .With question marks about most of his main rivals looks fair value at around 9-2 mark.

Jerry, thanks for your comment on my blog. If you are looking at Chester then take a look at my thoughts on the 5:05 there on my blog today.
ReplyDeleteAll the best.
Hope you were on LORD AVON today Jerry.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Sir Michael Stoute? So much for him being "out of form", he's had 4 winners from 4 runners this afternoon!
Hi Jerry
ReplyDeleteGreat result for you, I'm on holiday at the moment so have very limited access to the interenet and it's typical that the first one of your selections that I do not back WIN's.
Really pleased for you though and I look forward to resuming following your tips when I am back from my holidays on Monday the 20th of June.
Keep up the good work
Mark
Thanks Mark, its nice to finally have winner lol
ReplyDeleteYeah that's typical always seem to happen when you miss one.
Hopefully I have now turned the corner after some disappointing results in April & May
Hope you are having great holiday !!
regards
Jerry
