Four average looking flat cards on Wednesday at Bath,Folkestone and two evening fixtures at Carlisle and Kempton . Going concentrate on the last race on the Folkestone card the 1 mile 4 furlong maiden stakes at 4.50, which looks quite interesting little maiden race.
1 MILE 4 FURLONG MAIDEN STAKES CLASS 5 FOLKESTONE 4.50
WHISPERED :Finished second on her last three starts in maidens over 1 mile 2 furlongs only just touched off on her last two starts which included nose second behind the Roger Varian trained Jiwen at Nottingham in July .That looks solid form with Jiwen going on to win class 4 handicap at Yarmouth next time by easy 3 lenghs off mark 77 .Should be suited by this longer trip.
VERDICT : Plenty big stables represented in this maiden stakes with Potaras,Whispered & Figaro looking the three main contenders .
The Sir Henry Cecil trained Portaras has finished second three times in maiden races ,though probably ran his best race last time finishing third in class 4 handicap at Newmarket over I Mile 4 furlongs behind Midnight Oil off mark 78 .Should go well though does have to concede plenty weight to the three year olds.
Figaro was only just touched off last time in 1 mile 2 furlong handicap at Newmarket behind Proud Chieftain off mark 74 .Should be thereabouts if staying this longer trip .
WHISPERED has done nothing wrong in finishing second on her last last three starts and looks open to improvement over this longer trip having stayed on well at finish in her races. With BHA handicap rating of 79 will not need to improve much to win this maiden race.Trainer Sir Michael Stoute has excellent record here at Folkestone with 41% strike rate (7 from 17) over last 5 years .
