On Friday there are two claiming races, both 2 year old claimers, on the turf at Thirsk & on the poly track at Wolverhampton .
Going to concentrate on the 7 furlong two year old claiming stakes at Wolverhampton's evening card .
7.20 WOLVERHAMPTON 7F 2-Y-0 CLAIMING STAKES
12 runners declared for 7 furlong two year old claimer on the poly track at Wolverhampton .With Brazilian Clown being early morning non runner the main two contenders look to be Charlie Em and Wordsaplenty .
CHARLIE EM :Shown improved form since stepping up to 7 furlongs ,winning seven furlong handicap at Catterick off mark 66 and then finishing fair second at Newcastle last time .Looks well treated in this claimer and should go well if handling the poly track .
WORDSAPLENTY : Improved form since being fitted with hood ,finishing fair second in 6 furlong handicap at Ffos Las off mark 60 and then winning 7 furlong seller at Catterick last time .
VERDICT : Charlie Em looks the one to beat here after putting in two solid runs in handicap company ,though odds around 6-4 look very short for horse yet to run on poly track .
WORDSAPLENTY receiving 14lb from her main rival looks the each-way value here at around 7-1 .Looked better suited stepping up to 7 furlongs last time when winning seller at Catterick and looks well treated off 8 stone .

Hi Jerry,
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your selection today. I have half an eye on Coconut Kisses in the Selling race. looks an ideal back to lay as she is a speedy type who should go clear of these.
Have a good weekend.
Best wishes,
Jason

Much appreciated.

Thanks Jason
ReplyDeleteYeah I think Wordsaplenty looks over priced at 7-1 ,though Charlie Em looks big danger .
Good luck with Coconut Kisses ,I remember it winning at Wolverhampton earlier in the year ,when Fallon rode the horse .
All the best
Jerry
