3.15 HAYDOCK 7F TIMEFORM JURY STAKES GROUP 3:
Eight runners declared for decent looking 7 furlong group three contest at Haydock Park .The main contenders look to be Eton Forever ,Pastoral Player & Red Jazz .
ETON FOREVER : Useful soft ground performer over 7 & 8 furlongs .Won decent 7 furlong listed race over C&D at Haydock in May beating the useful Gregorian .However fast ground is major concern having never won on ground this fast .
PASTORAL PLAYER : Won this race last year in good style beating Majestic Myles .Also showed some decent form last season in group two company finishing second twice . Should come on for first run of the season behind Eton Forever and will be suited by fast ground .
RED JAZZ : Consistent sort, though not the easiest horse to win with these days .Won 7 furlong listed race over C&D last May,though finished well behind Pastoral Player in this race last year . Ran fair third on seasonal reappearance behind Eton Forever .Should be thereabouts ,though more likely to be placed than win .
VERDICT : Eton Forever would take plenty of beating if reproducing last months C&D form when beating subsequent group three winner Gregorian ,though has poor record on ground this fast and looks worth taking on at around 5-2 .
Last years winner PASTORAL PLAYER looks to have ideal conditions here and can reverse form with Eton Forever on this much faster ground .Showed decent form last season at higher level and can take this race for second year running .Odds around 3-1 look good value .
