After few frustrating results in July ,it was nice to finally hit the board with Minalisa winning 6 furlong listed race at Naas @ 3-1 for tidy £180.00 profit .Hopefully we can finish the month strongly.
Moving quickly on to Thursday we stay in Ireland for good looking two year old fillies G3 race at Leopardstown on ground described as good/firm .
6.25 LEOPARDSTOWN 7F 2-Y-0 FILLIES G3 STAKES :
8 runners declared for high quality looking 7 furlong G3 two year old fillies race. The three main contenders are Jack Naylor , Marsali & Raydara
JACK TAYLOR : Improved with each start ,winning 7 furlong maiden at Roscommon in good style last time beating Syntax by 3.5 Lenghs .That didn't look the strongest race ,though her second at Fairyhouse at the end of May has worked out very well with six winners coming out of the race.Each-way claims .
MARSALI : Impressive 3.5 lengh winner on debut when winning 6 furlong maiden at Fairyhouse from wide stall in 15 runner maiden. That form hasn't really worked out with no winners coming out of the race ,though looks open to plenty improvement over this longer trip and has group one entry in Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket
RAYDARA :Eyecatching debut finishing second in hot looking maiden at the Curragh ,behind the highly regarded A . O' Brien trained Words ,that form has worked out well with both 5th & 6th from that race winning maidens next time.Made no mistake last week winning 7 furlong maiden over C&D at Leopardstown .
VERDICT : RAYDARA looks very promising sort, and the form of her second at the Curragh last month looks the strongest form in the race .Won easily in maiden over C&D last week at Leopardstown and looks the one beat in this G3 contest . Odds around 3-1 look decent value.
Marsali looks the main danger after winning in good style at Fairyhouse on debut from bad draw, couldn't been more impressive that day and looks good prospect ,though its a bit of concern that nothing has won from that race.
RAYDARA 6.25 LEOPARDSTOWN
£50 EACH-WAY @ 3-1 BETVICTOR & BET365
(UNPLACED SP 3-1 LOSS £100.00)
