Royal Ascot Day One Preview (Tue 20th June )

Day One at Royal Ascot, with some fantastic racing over the next five days .Hopefully we can come out with profit over the week .Going concentrate on just the Coventry Stakes on Day One.

18 Runners declared for G2 Coventry Stakes for two-year-old colts & geldings. This looks wide open contest the three main contenders look to be Brother Bear, De Bruyne Horse & Murillo  .

BROTHER BEAR : Unbeaten Irish Colt ,winning 2 out 2,including winning 6F listed race at Curragh last time on soft ground .Also won 6.5F Maiden at Leopartstown on fast ground.Looks progressive sort for Jessica Harrington stable .

DE BRUYNE HORSE : Won 2 out 3 .Showed big improvement on last two starts ,including bolting up 6F  Novice Stakes at Ripon by 7 Lenghs .Also won 6F Woodcote Stakes at Epsom on Derby day ,that looked decent form with the second (Card Sharp) winning well next time . Looks open to further improvement .

MURILLO : Won 1 out 2 ,very disappointing on debut ,when finishing last of 6 (Beaten 15L ) .Showed massive improvement last time ,winning 5F Maiden at Tipperary in good style .Looks open to plenty improvement for top connections .

VERDICT : DE BRUYNE HORSE looks fast improving sort ,having won his last two starts in good style .The Epsom race looked strong two-year-old form ,with the second boosting the form next time .Odds around 7-1 look solid each-way value .
