13 runners declared for Qipco Champions Sprint on ground described as soft .This looks high quality 6 furlong sprint .The three main contenders look to be The Tin Man ,Harry Angel & Quiet Reflection .
THE TIN MAN : 5-Y-0 Bay gelding ,winning 7 out 15 .Goes particularly well here at Ascot ,winning three times over C&D ,including winning this race last year .Finished fair third in Haydock sprint cup behind Harry Angel last time .Each-way claims returning to his favourite track .
HARRY ANGEL : 3-Y-0 Bay colt ,winning 4 out 7 .Shown some very useful form this season ,including winning the group one July Cup at Newmarket, though produced career best effort last time when winning the Sprint cup by impressive 4 lenghs at Haydock on heavy ground.Solid claims of landing his third group one race .
QUIET REFLECTION : 4-Y-0 Bay filly , winning 8 out 12 .Very Smart filly especially on soft ground .Had some useful form in 2016 ,including winning the group one Commonwealth Cup over C&D, also won the Sprint Cup at Haydock .Lightly raced this season ,though returned to form last time ,winning group three race in Ireland .Will be suited by testing ground conditions
VERDICT : Harry Angel is clearly the one to beat, after bolting up in the Sprint Cup at Haydock last time, though is likely to be taken on for lead here, with Aidan O Brien running two pace makers .Has to be respected ,though Odds around 5-4 look no value .
At the prices QUIET REFLECTION looks the each-way value ,being dual group one winner .Has an excellent record on good/soft or softer winning 6 out 7 (111151 ).Will also be suited by the likely strong pace.Odds around 7-1 look decent value .
