The betting bankroll now stands at £2005,after Cosmeapolitan won the class 2 handicap at Kempton 9 days ago .
Nice to get on the scoreboard ,with nice 9-2 winner .The stakes now increase to £80.00 ,with the bankroll showing very small £5.00 profit.
As we enter March it's been very slow going ,with only 4 bets since the start of the year ,though there has been very limited betting opportunities in my specialist races.Just have to remain patient ,however I am expecting bit more action in March .
Moving on to Saturday ,we have good looking class two 5f handicap at Lingfield .8 Runners declared for Betway Handicap at Lingfield .The three main contenders are Encore D 'Or , Atletico & George Dryden .
ENCORE D'OR : 6-Y-0 Bay Gelding , winning 6 out 14 on All Weather , including winning twice over C&D at Lingfield .Also won listed race on turf at Doncaster in September .Returned to form last time ,finishing short head second over C&D in Hever Listed Stakes .Solid claims returning to handicap company .
ATLETICO : 6-Y-0 Bay Gelding ,Not finished outside the first two in five starts on All Weather ,including winning class three handicap at Newcastle in November .Just touched off in class two handicap at Wolverhampton on Monday .Should go well off the same mark ,though still 10lb higher than last victory .
GEORGE DRYDEN : 6-Y-0 Bay Gelding ,winning 1 out 5 on All Weather .Returned to form for new trainer Charlie Wallis ,winning class 4 handicap over C&D at Lingfield last month .Up 5lb in weights ,though still well treated on old turf form .Each-way claims .
VERDICT : ENCORE D'OR Should go well, after just getting touched off by Generous John in good listed contest 7 days ago ,that looked decent effort under 3lb penalty. Has good record here at Lingfield .Odds around 4-1 look very fair value .
