The betting bankroll has dropped to £2130 (+£130) after frustrating run of results .Stakes now drop down to £86.00
Hopefully we can get back on track this week ,with some top quality racing from Newmarket's July meeting .
Moving on to Thursday, we have interesting group three contest at 1.50pm .8 runners declared for Bahrain Trophy stakes for three-year-olds over 1M 5F on ground described good/firm.The three main contenders are First Eleven,Giuseppe Garibaldi & Loxley .
FIRST ELEVEN : 3-Y-0 Frankel Colt, winning 1 out 6 .Shown big improvement since stepping up in trip, including winning 1M 3F handicap at Newbury by 5L in May .Also finished unlucky third at Royal Ascot in 1M 4F King George V Handicap stakes last time .Takes step up in class ,though looks open to further improvement over this longer trip .
GIUSEPPE GARIBALDI : 3-Y-0 Irish Galileo colt ,winning 2 out 8 .Shown progressive form this season ,including winning 12f listed race at Leopardstown in June .Also finished creditable third in in G2 Edward V11 Stakes at Royal Ascot behind Old Persian .Solid claims dropping into G3 company .
LOXLEY : 3-Y-0 New Approach colt, winning 2 out 3 .Lightly raced sort .Made winning reapperance here at Newmarket in June ,winning 1M 2F Novice Stakes in good style, beating Raymond Tusk by 3L .Takes big step up in class and unproven over this 3f longer trip ,though still looks interesting contender.
VERDICT : GIUSEPPE GARIBALDI should go well ,having finished good third in G2 Edward V11 stakes at Royal Ascot last month ,that form looks solid with second Rostropovich subsequently finishing close second in G1 Irish Derby. Will be suited by this easier race.Odds around 3-1 look solid value .
First Eleven looks main danger after finishing unlucky third at Royal Ascot last time ,this longer trip should suit ,though will need show more improvement in this much stronger race.
