2K to 10K Betting Challenge (Bet No 52 ) Sat 8th June

2K to 10K Betting Challenge continues on Saturday from Haydock Park.

The betting bankroll stands at £2545,after Nyaleti finished unplaced in the Princess Elizabeth Stakes at Epsom last Saturday .

Very disappointing effort from Mark Johnston filly, who drifted like barge in betting ,finishing tailed off last ,though  was reported to be lame after the race .The stakes drop down to £102 (£2545 divided by 25 =£102.00 .

Moving on to Saturday we have good quality card from Haydock .Going concentrate on the feature race the John Of Gaunt Stakes .12 runners declared for 7f group three contest on soft ground.The three main contenders are Mankib , Safe Voyage & Sir Dancealot.

MANKIB : 5-Y-0 Chestnut Horse ,winning 5 out 13.Improving sort, winning three times last season ,including winning Dubai Duty Free Cup Listed Stakes at Newbury by 4 lenghs in September.Made promising reapperance over C&D at Haydock last month,finishing second behind Safe Voyage .Best form on good /soft .Each-way claims

SAFE VOYAGE : 6-Y-0 Bay Gelding ,winning 8 out 18 .Useful sort,especially on soft ground ,including winning  3 out 3 at Haydock over C&D .Has looked very progressive this season ,winning both starts in good style at Haydock ,including winning listed race over C&D last month .Takes step up in class ,though best form on soft ground .

SIR DANCEALOT : 5-Y-0 Bay Gelding ,winning 8 out 29 .Had some very useful form last season ,winning both the group two Lennox Stakes at Goodwood & Hungerford stakes at Newbury .Made fair reapperance in group one Lockinge Stakes ,finishing 7th of 15 behind Mustashry .Will be suited by this drop in class,though best form on good ground .

VERDICT : Course specialist SAFE VOYAGE will relish testing conditions ,has excellent record over 7f on good/soft or softer ground,winning last four starts ,including winning listed contest last time at Haydock .This looks stronger race ,though very few these are proven in testing conditions .Odds around 7-2 look fair value .

Sir Dancealot looks big danger on last seasons group two winning form ,will be suited returning to this lower level, though has yet to convince on soft /heavy ground ( 0 out 5 ) .Has to be passed over with ground conditions likely to be very testing .

Of the others Mankib has each-ways claims ,after promising reapperance behind Safe Voyage over C&D last month.Should improve for that first run of the season ,though was well held in group company last season .
