Moving on to day three at Glorious Goodwood .Going concentrate on one of the main supporting races the Gordon stakes at 3.00 .

9 ruuners declared for 12f group three contest for three-year-olds on ground described as good.The three main contenders look to be Constantinople ,Spanish Mission & Jalmoud .

CONSTANTINOPLE : 3-Y-0 Irish Bay Colt ,winning 2 out 6 .Progressive sort.Won 10f group three contest at Curragh in May .Also finished creditable second in King George V handicap stakes at Royal Ascot off mark 105 .Interesting contender for top connections .

SPANISH MISSION : 3-Y-0 Bay Colt ,winning 2 out 5 .Lightly raced sort on turf ,only had the two starts ,including finishing second at Goodwood in 11f Cocked Hat Stakes in May.Big improver last time when stepping up in trip ,winning the 13f group three Bahrain Trophy in impressive style by 4L .Looks open to further improvement on turf .

JALMOND :3-Y-0 Chestnut Colt , winning 2 out 6 . Improving sort ,winning first two starts this season ,including winning 12f Listed race at Longchamp in May .Also finished creditable third in group one Grand Prix De Paris behind Japan at Longchamp last time .Will be suited dropping  down in class .

VERDICT : SPANISH MISSION should go well after winning in impressive style at Newmarket last time in group three company .That looked decent effort beating the consistent 104 rated Nayef Road by 4L .Looks open to further improvement after just two starts on turf .Odds around 5-1 look solid each-way value . 

Of the others the A P O'Brien trained Constantinople looks the main danger after finishing creditable second at Royal Ascot last time .Looks sure to go well ,though odds around 5-2 are short enough in this group three contest .
