This years Irish Derby looks quite competitive race ,with Aidan O'Brien running five in race. High Definition looks his main contender, after finishing promising 2L third in Dante Stakes at York behind Hurricane Lane ,had some decent form as two-year-old ,winning twice here at Curragh ,should improve stepping up to 1m 4f for first time, though odds around 7-4 look poor value, considering he finished behind Hurricane Lane at York .
At the prices HURRICANE LANE looks solid each-way option ,in the circumstances ran fair third at Epsom considering he looked unsuited by undulating track, losing two shoes in the race also didn't help .Had previously won Dante stakes at York in good style. This more galloping track should better .
E-W bet guide price 5-1 or above .
Of the others Mojo Star looks interesting runner, after being supplemented for the race .Not easy to weigh up after finishing excellent second at Epsom @50-1 , though had been previously beaten in two maiden races at Newbury . The Martyn Meade trained Lone Eagle has shown progressive form winning the Cocked Hat listed stakes last time in impressive style on soft ground under Frankie Dettori ,though will need lot more improvement to land this group one .
