The Aidan O'Brien  trained Santa Barbara has been put in 9-4 favourite for this 10f group one contest ,though so far hasn't really lived up to the hype ,after being beaten fav in both the 1000 guineas & Epsom Oaks.Looked non stayer in Oaks last time when beaten 22L by stablemate Snowfall,the drop back in trip may help ,does recieve plenty weight off main contenders ,though still has plenty to prove in my opinion.

 

CAYENNE PEPPER had some useful form last season ,including winning the group two Blandford Stakes by 4L over C&D at Curragh with Thundering Nights back in third ,also finished fair second in this race last season behind Magical.Slightly disappointing on her reapperance when only 8l fourth in group one Tattersals Gold cup,though appeared unsuited by testing ground conditions.Will be suited by this quicker ground .Odds around 4-1 look solid e-w value with dead 8 runners .

Guide price 7-2 or above .

Of the others Thundering Nights could be main danger ,after finishing close second in grade two New York stakes at Belmont Park earlier this month ,had previously finished fair second behind Broome in Alleged stakes over C&D at Curragh ,though has to reverse form with Cayenne Pepper on last seasons Blandford Stakes.
