JBB RATINGS :
1) TRUESHAN (122) (2) ELDAR ELDAROV (117) (3) COLTRANE (113)
The Alan King trained six year old gelding TRUESHAN looks the one to beat having won this race for last two years .Has excellent record with cut in the ground over staying distances ,including winning 5 out 7 in group races on ground good/soft or softer .Will need to bounce back after poor run in Doncaster Cup last time when turned over at 2-9 ,though never looked happy in that race, hanging in the straight. Will be suited returning to Ascot on ground that should suit .Odds around 2-1 look very fair value..
St Leger winner Eldar Eldarov looks the main danger getting 9lb ftom Trueshan ,won in good style last time at Doncater, staying on strongly at the finish .This longer trip shouldn't be problem and looks open to further improvement over staying trips .

JBB RATINGS :
1)INSPIRAL (122) (2) MODERN GAMES (118) (2) THE REVENANT (118)
Inspiral looks the one to beat on her Coronation Stakes & Jacques le Marois winning form ,the French form looks strong form, with the third from that race Erevann winning the Danial Wildenstein in good style next time on Arc Weekend .However odds around 11-10 look no value ,especially being unproven on ground this soft .
The French raider THE REVENANT looks the each-way value at around 6-1 ,has decent record in this race (214),including winning this race in 2020 and finishing creditable 2.5l fourth to Baaeed in the race last year. Also finished good second behind Evevann last time, finishing strongly in race that wasn't run to suit .The return to this stiffer mile at Ascot will suit better, with Ryan Moore looking interesting jockey booking.Solid each-way claims
Of the others Modern Games has some very decent form ,including finishing 1.5L second to Baaeed in the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood in July, though all his best form has been on fast ground, has to prove himself on this slower ground .
