The Charlie Appleby trained five-year-old gelding  Master Of The Seas is clearly the one to beat on form, having finished close second in 2000 Guineas at Newmarket back in 2021,though has clearly had problems since .Only had the one start last season winning the G3 Earl Of Sefton at Newmarket in good style.Can go well fresh ,though Charlie Appleby has reported the horse will defiently improve for the race with bigger targets on Super Saturday & World Cup Night .Makes no appeal at  4-6 on his first start for 9 months .

 

The David O'Meara trained seven-year-old grey gelding SHELIR looks interesting at big price after eyecatching third in (G2 Al Fahidi Fort) behind Al Suhail.That was decent effort on his first start of the season, in race run in course record time.Won twice last season in UK ,including winning the 20 runner Mile Balmoral Handicap at Ascot on Champions Day .Will be suited returning to mile .Looks decent each-way value at 16-1

 

The other Charlie Appleby runner Modern News  is very consistent ,though normally comes up short in group company ,also became bit disappointing last season when twice beaten at short prices in very average listed contests .

 

Most of the other runners are returning from long lay offs,though I Am Superman can’t be ruled out ,winning 6 out 30 races,including winning two G2 races in Australia ,though not won since March 2021 .Looks best watched on his first start at Meydan for Irish trainer Michael O' Callaghan.

The former German trained Ardakan looks interesting runner on his first start for Marco Botti ,had some decent form last season ,including finishing good third to Breeders Cup turf winner Rebel's Romance in G1 company at Hoppegarten last August .Looks open to improvement over this longer trip ,though the Marco Botti stable has been in poor form (3 out 65) since November .Looks best watched on first start of the season .

 Get Shirty has been put in clear favourite ,has to be respected back down in class ,had some decent form last season ,including winning 4 times in handicap company.No show in group company on his final two starts last season ,though should find this easier.Has gone well fresh in the past,though odds around 10-3 are not great value in open looking listed contest

At the prices the the Ismail Mohammed trained seven-year-old gelding AWAY HE GOES,looks the each-way value Had some decent form back in 2021 ,finishing second in Goodwood Cup behind Trueshan,also finished placed three times here at Meydan,including good third in Dubai Gold Cup. Made promising return at Abu Dhabi in 11f listed contest last month,just getting done for pace in closing stages.The return to this longer trip will suit .Odds around 7-1 look very fair each-way value ,especially with bookmakers paying 4 places .
